Se impone la lateralidad en el muy corto plazo tanto en el S&P 500 como en el Dow Jones Industrial. Estamos tentados de emplear la expresión que esta mañana, en tiempo real, usábamos para referirnos a la situación en el Ibex 35, cuando decíamos que el mercado andaba en stand by; pero, viendo lo que ha ocurrido después en la bolsa nacional, mejor nos ahorramos la metáfora.

Si en el Ibex 35 la cuádruple hora bruja que hoy disfrutábamos sí ha animado al final las cotizaciones, tirando de ellas hacia arriba, no puede decirse lo mismo de los índices directores de la bolsa neoyorquina.

El Dow Jones Industrial lleva días atrapado en el rango de precio que va de los 13.500 a los 13.650 puntos, mientras que el S&P 500 hace lo propio en el estrecho rango que va de los 1.450 a los 1.465 puntos (véanse las gráficas adjuntas).

¿Estamos ante la calma que precede a la tempestad? ¿En qué sentido soplarán los vientos cuando esa tempestad se desate? Preguntas sobre las que cada uno puede elucubrar cuanto quiera, pero cuya resolución habrá que dejar en manos del mercado, actuando en consecuencia.
